NoMa Farmers Market at Alethia Tanner Park

Hey NoMa and Eckington Neighbors: Good news when it comes to getting your weekly fix of fresh fruits and veggies. Every Thursday evening from May to September, the NoMa Farmers Market will be serving up plenty of farm fresh produce and local groceries from 3-7 p.m. at Alethia Tanner Park.

The NoMa BID is proud to partner with Diverse Markets Management to bring this new, convenient shopping experience for fresh food options to the neighborhood. It’s a particularly poignant way to pay tribute to the park’s namesake, Alethia Tanner, a formerly enslaved woman who was able to purchase her freedom and the freedom of others by selling produce herself from a stand just a few miles away at Lafayette Park.
