NoMa Summer Screen Returns Next Week: New Location, Dance Films

Washington, D.C., May 21, 2015 — Summer is officially upon us: NoMa Summer Screen returns next week! Filmgoers’ choice: this year you can dance or just watch as NoMa kicks off its eighth season of NoMa Summer Screen with the 2015 theme “DANCE, DANCE, DANCE.”

NoMa Summer Screen will happen in a new location at 1005 First Street, NE. This property will be temporarily transformed into a colorful, mural-filled urban park, called NoMa Junction @ Storey Park. The site is asphalt, so we encourage attendees to bring low chairs or cushions.

“We are thrilled about having a great new place — NoMa Junction @ Storey Park —for our eighth season of NoMa Summer Screen,” said Robin-Eve Jasper, President of the NoMa Business Improvement District. “Boogie down in NoMa. It’s going to be a fun, dance-filled summer in the neighborhood.”

NoMa Summer Screen is a free, outdoor film series in NoMa, Washington, D.C.’s most connected neighborhood. Every Wednesday from May 27 to August 19, hundreds of neighbors gather at 7 p.m. for DJ music, giveaways, food trucks, picnicking, and fun for all ages. Films start at sunset. All movies are screened with subtitles. NoMa Summer Screen is hosted by Storey Park. The event is sponsored by 2M, a WC Smith property, and Bozzuto’s NoMa properties: Elevation, Flats 130, 77H, Loree Grand at Union Place, and Senate Square.
