Washington Business Journal: Union Kitchen expands to Ivy City and two companies relocate

Tenant build-out in Ivy City, next door to the Hecht Co. Warehouse, of a 24,000-square-foot, multi-tenant, shared-use kitchen, to include electrical and plumbing upgrades, dry wall, carpentry and work stations. This is the second location for culinary incubator Union Kitchen, which has outgrown its original space on Congress Street Northeast, not far from Union Station. As my colleague Rebecca Cooper reported a year ago, Union Kitchen was sitting on roughly 400 applications for space, but had only 55 spaces at Congress Street. In Ivy City, it will be able to take on another 70 members.
