FotoBazaar To Feature 250 Photographers in NoMa Show

WASHINGTON, DC, August 21, 2013 — Calling all photographers to a fantastic new event this fall: FotoBazaar! FotoDC is proud to present the city’s first massive, open-to-all, un-juried, three-day photo show featuring 250 exhibitors in a 25,000 SF NoMa building at 51 N Street, NE, generously provided by The JBG Companies.

Free to the public on the weekend of October 5th and 6th, and running concurrently with the popular (e)merge contemporary art fair, FotoBazaar will attract an audience that enjoys – and buys – photography. Photographers may promote and sell their work and keep 100% of the proceeds, or simply display their finest pieces for crowds to admire.

“We are so pleased NoMa has been selected to host another great art event this year. Thanks to FotoDC,” said Robin-Eve Jasper, President of the NoMa Business Improvement District. “We look forward to welcoming the photographers and collectors to the neighborhood.”

FotoDC will host an opening party and reception on Friday, October 4th, 6:30 – 9:30 pm. All exhibiting photographers receive complimentary invitations. In addition, FotoDC will select its five favorite FotoBazaar works to exhibit at a unique, outdoor show in the National Geographic courtyard during FotoWeekDC’s sixth annual citywide photography festival in November. FotoDC will also select images to rotate on the online “Best of FotoBazaar” Gallery during FotoWeek 2013.
